What is a Military Relocation Professional?
A Military Relocation Professional (MRP) is a Realtor that has been recognized and certified by the National Association of Realtors to have specialized in working with current and former Military members to find housing solutions that best suit their needs. They help Military members and Veterans take full advantage of military benefits and support. To achieve this certification, they have to go through extensive training on military permanent change of station (PCS) procedures, Expiration term of service (ETS) procedures, VA loans, options for disabled members, VA compromise sales, and veteran grants for first time buyers. They then take an exam that they have to score 80% or higher.
Why should you use a MRP Realtor?
If you are a buyer, typically the use of a licensed agent will not cost you anything, so why not hire the best and most knowledgeable Realtor for your situation! If you need your house sold, we understand that you often need to sell quickly and that there are special circumstances involved, (i.e. military spouse is now deployed, etc.) A MRP has the knowledge and tools for these unique situations and can assist you in positioning your home on the market to get it sold quickly at a good price.
What perks does a MRP provide?
1) Recommendations on mission critical service providers such as lenders that are also specialized in VA financing. VA loans are often misunderstood by the average "big bank" lenders. We have a list of lenders that definitely know their craft and will work with you to make the transaction easy and seamless.
2) In a bidding war, we like to be able to tell your story. When we come with a VA offer, we also attach a personal letter to maybe tip the scales in your favor.
3) For disabled vets, we can help with property tax benefits, and in some cases government grants for home renovations after the sale to assist mobility and use of the home.
Who is Aaron Wittrock and why am I a MRP?
I am also a veteran. I served for 5 years active duty in the United States Army. I not only have taken the education to become a MRP, I have been in your boots. With 3 PCSs, 2 Deployments Overseas (one in Afghanistan), and a civilian spouse at home, I have a unique knowledge of your situation. I believe in Vets serving Vets and take pride in every veteran homeowner I help create. Hooah!
